Magic Kingdom, the place where dreams are made at, and every one wants to go to. The place people like to call “Disney” even though Walt Disney World is actually the name of all the parks, Disney springs, water parks, and everything else in between owned by the Walt Disney Company in Orlando, FL (or Lake Buena Vista and Celebration if you want to get technical). Anyways, in this blog post, I will be giving you all many tips and tricks for your Magic Kingdom trip coming up in the near future (if you dream it, and work for it, it can happen). So lets start:
Make Fast Passes in Advanced
Literally, if you can buy your tickets ahead of time, do so! You get to make fastpasses 30 days in advance, and if you are staying in the Disney resorts, you get 60 days! So take advantage!
PS: Its the only fastpass picture I got so…
Bring a Backpack ALWAYS
You might want to not bring thing that might slow you down, but I promise you, bringing a backpack with you to the parks will save your sanity.
Bring a water bottle
You can go to the quick service restaurants and refill your water (plus ice) for the low price of free!
Get to the park before 9 am
You should be parked and on the monorail by 9 am. This will allow you to get on the E-ticket attractions before the park gets crowded at 11 am.
Do the E-Ticket attractions before noon
Try to do as many e-ticket attractions before noon. E-ticket attractions are all the mountains, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan, and those that people do crazy long lines for and do not mind.
Seriously, the best ride in all of the park, and of course, my favorite in all of Disney World. You get to relax while going around and have an amazing view of Tomorrowland, and the Hub!
Eat at Columbia Harbor House
I am a bit biased since I used to work there, but with that comes knowing how the food is made and the quality. From their salads to their tuna sandwich or chicken nuggets, Harbor House has some of the best variety in Magic Kingdom when it comes to food.
Maps as souvenirs
This one is mainly if you like crafting as I do. Using a Magic Kingdom map to make coasters or to scrapbook with is the best use of this little free souvenir.
Visit the characters in the night
I would always advise people to visit the characters at night time since the big crowds are out of the way, and queues for characters go down.
Avoid MK during the summer
As someone who previously worked MK in the summer at a E-ticket attraction, I will suggest NOT to go to MK in the summer if you want to get your moneys worth. Lines go above 2 hours, it’s extra hot, and there are crazy amounts of student tour groups from South America chanting all over the park. On top of this, everyone wants to go to MK during the summer. So with this said, now it’s up to you.
Watch the Fireworks away from Main Street USA
While the view of the fireworks from Main Street USA is spectacular, it’s so busy that you can barely see or breath. I always watch them from Tomorrowland or Fantasyland, right behind the Carousel.
