Oh the places you can go!
I have had the pleasure of travelling extensively around Western Europe. I have visited Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom (Wales, England and Scotland, I have not had the pleasure of visiting Northern Ireland). Of those places, I have disliked some and loved other. Today, I will talk about those that have inspired me to either travel more, study more, or have spiritual inspiration. These are the places to go for inspiration:
About 6 years ago, as part of the International Society at the University of Nottingham during my semester abroad, we had a trip to Northern Wales where we visited Caernarfon Castle and Port Meirion. To say I felt inspired by the beauty of the mountains and small villages is nothing. Port Meirion is an Italian village in the middle of the welsh mountains. While Caernarfon is a beautiful castle at the end of the sea.
Monasterio del Escorial
The landscapes you get to see in this once palace for the King of Spain. It is full of beautiful hallways, grand staircases, and pantheons for the deceased princes and kings of Spain. Man has made some beautiful creations thanks to God, and El Escorial is definitely one of them. The beautiful architecture and how regal it is makes me feel inspired to travel more.
What a beautiful beach! We went on a cool day and could not swim, but took beautiful pictures back in April 2013 while on my Easter trip to Lisbon. The white sand and blue water was majestic. Every time I look at pictures from that trip to Ericeira it makes me feel inspired to write and look at scriptures about the beauty of God’s creation.
These are just some of the many places to go for inspiration. The beauty, calmness, and time I had there contribute to the feeling of inspiration and why I placed them on this list. So in short, TRAVEL and get to know the world. Feeling inspired by the beauty of God’s creation and man-made architecture.
All the Love
